Cooling mode: the perimeter coil

Cold air is heavier than warm air and drops quickly, which is exactly how draughts start. Because the blades adjust anywhere between 0° and 90°, cooling runs in a wide horizontal fan pattern instead: the stream spreads gently under the ceiling and settles into the occupied zone without anyone feeling a blast of cold.

The OXA Cooling engineering approach

• Perimeter coil layout. The coil wraps the entire perimeter of the air handling section, which maximises the effective heat exchange area and keeps the air passing through it evenly.
• Integrated moisture removal. A built-in droplet eliminator and a dedicated condensate connection keep the supply air dry even when the unit is working hard through a heatwave.
• Vortex distribution. Guide blades on precision Belimo actuators aim the cooled air exactly where it is needed, with no draughts and no stagnant pockets.

Condensate handled without compromise

• Perimeter design. Moisture never builds up on the fins — it runs straight off into dedicated channels.
• Gravity drainage. Condensate finds the drain connection under its own weight, so the system needs no auxiliary pumps.
• Splash protection. The integral pan catches everything; carry-over of droplets into the space is simply not possible.
• Fan Stop Status. When the fan stops while chilled water is still circulating, gravity takes every drop into the built-in pan — nothing lands on the equipment or the floor.
